No jury will decide the fate of accused killer Jorge Dupre Lachazo. The defendant, accused of the brutal 2019 murder of Evelyn Udell at her Boca Raton home, wants Palm Beach Circuit Judge Daliah Weiss to decide whether he’s guilty and deserves to be sentenced to life in prison.
Jorge Dupre Lachazo will not face the death penalty and will have a non-jury trial as part of an agreement. He's accused of beating a Boca Raton woman to death and setting her on fire while working as a delivery driver in 2019.
