Those who died today include a former Technical officer Radiology SKIMS. The others include a 65-year-old man from Magarmal Bagh Batamaloo,68-year-old woman from Dalgate Srinagar, a 75-year-old man from Hawal Srinagar, a 70-year-old woman from Batamaloo Srinagar, a 65-year-old woman from Kunzer Tangmarg in Baramulla district, a 73-year-old woman from Ompora Budgam, a 68-year-old retired doctor from Baghat Srinagar, a 60-year-old woman from Badragund Anantnag and a 65-year-old woman from Kund Kulgam.

23-Year-Old Youth Among 20 More Succumb To Covid-19 In J&K, Toll 3169

SRINAGAR: A 23-year-old youth was among at least 20 persons who succumbed to the covid-19 in Jammu and Kashmir since last evening, officials said on Monday. 13 among the fresh deaths were reported at Jammu hospitals while seven persons died at various hospitals here, taking the overall toll due to the virus in J&K to 3169, they said. Among others, the officials told that the 23-year-old youth from Qamarwari Srinagar died SMHS hospital, a week after he was admitted there. A 57-year-old woman from BK Pora Kanipora Budgam died two days after she was admitted to the SMHS hospital, they said. A 68-year-old man from Hamdaniya Colony Bemina died eight days after he was admitted to the hospital.

J&K Reports 34 More Covid-19 Deaths, Toll Crosses 3000 Mark

SRINAGAR: At least 34 persons, including a 39-year-old woman, succumbed to covid-19 since last evening so far, taking the fatality count to 3001, officials said on Friday. 18 deaths were reported at GMC Jammu while sixteen persons died at various hospitals and make-shift facilities for covid-19 management in Kashmir Valley, the officials told. Among others, they said, the victims include a 60-year-old from Gagoo Humhamma Budgam who died at SKIMS Bemina, 11 days after he was admitted to SKIMS Bemina. A 65-year-old woman Nowgam Srinagar who died three days after she was admitted to the SKIMS Bemina facility, they said. A 56-year-old man from Chake Badernath Pulwama died at SKIMS Soura, soon after he was admitted, they said.

3,575 test +ve, 21 die in Valley 3,575 test +ve, 21 die in Valley Fayaz Bukhari Srinagar, May 7: For the second consecutive year, no congregational prayers were held at major shrines and Masjids across Kashmir including historic Jamia Masjid on the occasion of Jumat-ul- Vida, the last Friday of fasting month of Ramadhan even as positive cases and deaths due to COVID-19 continued to surge across the Valley. In Kashmir 3,575 tested positive for the COVID-19 today while 21 died here taking the cases in J&K to 206,954 and death toll to 2612. The shrines and major Masjids across the Valley remained closed in wake of the lockdown imposed by the Government in order to prevent the deadly virus from spreading. This is for the second year that no Jumat-ul- Vida prayers were held in Kashmir due to COVID-19.

Covid-19 2nd Wave: 36 People Succumb Since Last Night, Toll Reaches 2598

SRINAGAR: As Covid-19 cases continue to be on  the rise Jammu and Kashmir, 36 more people succumbed to the virus in J&K since last evening, bringing the total number of people killed by the virus to 2598. Nineteen of the new fatalities, they said, occurred at GMC Jammu, with the rest being treated in various hospitals in the Kashmir Valley. Among others, the victims include a 61-year-old man from Dalgate Srinagar who died 12 days after he was admitted to SMHS hospital. A 78-year-old man from Rambail Pora, Anantnag, died at CD hospital, four days after he was admitted to one of the exclusive facilities for the management of the covid-19 patients in the Valley.
