The veteran mare Racine Bell knows much about winning, and more specifically, winning while flashing blinding speed, which is precisely what she did in the featured $23,000 Filles & Mares Winners Over Pace on Saturday, Dec. 2 at The Meadowlands.
Racine Bell and her driver Jason Bartlett took command of the 10-horse field in the $143,000 Perfect Sting and paced best to win the event in a personal- and stakes-record 1:47.2 at The Meadowlands on Saturday (July 2).
Racine Bell hadn’t been out on the track since November at Yonkers Raceway, but the talented veteran, who showed only a pair of Saratoga qualifiers for her return, displayed no ill effects of the layoff, getting a perfect trip on the way to taking the Saturday night (Feb. 12) co-feature at The Meadowlands, the $40,000 ‘Sweetheart Pace’ for Preferred Mares.
