Foundation laid for 44-room school in Dakshinkali Format Kathmandu, February 24 Chief Executive officer of the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) Sushil Gyewali laid the foundation stone for the construction of school buildings of Shree Champadevi Madhyamik Bidhyalay in Ward no. 1 of Dakshinkali Municipality here today. The two school buildings of three and half storey will altogether have 44 rooms. The school buildings are being reconstructed under the grant assistance from the Indian government as per its commitment at the international donors’ conference held after the 2015 earthquake. At the foundation laying ceremony, CEO Gyewali the investment in the reconstruction of physical structures would be worth the effort if the students receive standard education.

Reconstruction work of 66th school under Indian aid begins in Nepal’s Dakshinkali Sun Online Desk   The reconstruction work of the 66th school in Nepal, under the Indian grant assistance, started in Dakshinkali Municipality on Wednesday, the Embassy of India in Kathmandu said. “This is the 66th school being reconstructed under the Government of India grant assistance for reconstruction in the education sector. India has committed USD 50 million for the reconstruction of total 71 educational institutions in 8 districts of Nepal,” the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu said in a press release. India has also committed a grant of another USD 200 million for reconstruction projects in the health, cultural heritage and housing sectors.
