Investigator Dakota Lamb of the Emanuel County Sheriff s Office is back on the job just one day after being shot while serving a warrant in Swainsboro.
The Burke County Sheriff's Office's Special Response Team assisted the Emanuel County Sheriff's Office in a shooting incident Tuesday. ECSO Investigator Dakota Lamb was with Swainsboro Police Department officers serving a search warrant on Colegrove Drive. Me’Elle Layquon Merrion saw law enforcement approaching and allegedly fired a weapon striking Investigator Lamb.
