NNC condoles member’s demise DIMAPUR The Naga National Council (NNC) has expressed shock at the sudden demise of its vice president, L Kaiso, who passed away on June 22 in Kohima. “He was a dedicated leader who served the Naga Nation in various capacities. Amongst them he held high profile posts of Killo Kilonser (FGN), Kedallo (FGN), Secretary (NNC) and Vice President (NNC) till his last breath. He was also a recipient of ‘Nagaland Star’ for his sacrifices in this long struggle for nation,” stated NNC president Adinno Phizo in a condolence message. NSCN (K-YA) cadre surrenders An active cadre of the NSCN (K-YA) surrendered to the Assam Rifles on June 25 in Mon district, Nagaland, a defence release stated. The surrendered cadre active since 2012 was involved in various extortion related activities in the AOR.
