Since Season 2, Ryu has had an extremely difficult time making any sort of significant impact on Street Fighter 5 s meta. Though BST|Daigo Umehara has been known for his Ryu in the past, it made sense for him to make the switch to Guile when Ryu fell off hard from Season 1.
