BATH, Maine William Launay Taylor, 77, passed away on April 26, 2021, at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick, Maine. He was born on Jan. 4, 1944, in Portland, Maine, a son of William Dee and Mary (Robinson) Taylor.
Bill was a 1961 graduate of Montpelier High School in Vermont. He then graduated from Tufts University in Medford, Mass., in 1966 with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following graduation, the next day he was designated a U. S. Navy Ensign and proceeded to Naval Flight School in Pensacola, Fla. On June 22, 1967, he returned to Vermont to marry his wife, Betty Lathrop of Bristol, Vt.

Lisa M. Barnes
Lisa M. Barnes, 57, of Gardiner Road, Wiscasset died April 23, 2021 at her residence.
She was born in Damariscotta, Maine on Jan. 1, 1964, a daughter of William W. and Gloria J. (Allen) Barnes.
She graduated from Wiscasset High School and entered the U.S. Air Force in 1984. She married John P. Rock in 1985. Lisa obtained her master electrician’s license and went on to operate her own business in South Carolina. In 1993 she moved back to Wiscasset and continued in the trade, most recently with Cianbro Corporation of Pittsfield. Lisa loved to learn, going on to earn her bachelor of science in business administration through the University of Maine at Augusta in 2015.

Visiting hours will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, May 4 at Daigle Funeral Home, 819 High St., Bath. A funeral service will be held at noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wiscasset.

Mary A. (Steen) Lewis of Gardiner passed away in Augusta on March 26, 2021 while surrounded by her family.
Mary was born in Bridgton, Maine in 1946 to her parents, Fannie and Guy Cushman. She and her twin sister, Jean, were adopted at age 5 by Phyllis and Howard Steen of Bath. The Steen family remained in Bath throughout Mary’s childhood.
Mary graduated from Morse High School in Bath and was employed for many years as a paralegal secretary at various locations in the area. Additionally, she owned and operated a nursery school, was employed at Bath Iron Works, and operated as an administrative assistant at some of the local churches.
