Buhari made the remark while commending the love shown between Christians and Muslims during the Ramadan period.
He prayed that the Eid festival will continue to bring with it peace, safety, security, brotherhood and love amongst Muslims and Christians as witnessed during the fasting period.
The president said this in his Eid-el-Fitr message issued by his spokesman, Malam Garba Shehu.
“This model also shone through with Muslim groups joining Christian festivities.
”These are practices that promote brotherhood and forgiveness,” he said.
Buhari also extended his best wishes to all Nigerians and Muslims across the globe.

Shaikh Dahiru Bauchi made the comment when he received a Christian delegation led by a former Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung, and Pastor Yohana Buru of Peace Revival and Reconciliation of Nigeria at his Kaduna residence on Tuesday.
The cleric described the level of insecurity in the country as worrisome and disheartening, adding that Nigerians didn’t expect this to be happening with the government in charge of the security apparatus.
