TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Jenna Nighswonger has been named a MAC Hermann Trophy finalist as announced by the United Soccer Coaches and the Missouri Athletic Club on Thursday afternoon. Nighswonger marks the sixth MAC Hermann Trophy finalist in school history, joining Mami Yamaguchi, Dagny Brynjarsdottir, Malia Berkey and Jaelin Howell from last season. Yamaguchi took home the award in 2007 and Howell became the second Seminole to win the MAC Hermann Award in 2020 and won it once against a season ago. Nighswonger had a career year in her senior season. She had a career-high in points (28), assists (16) and goals (six) and was named a United Soccer Coaches First Team All-American. Her 16 assists in a season were second in school history behind only Yamaguchi in the 2007 season when she won the MAC Hermann.
