ZEPHYR COVE, Nev. – NV Energy will be continuing work related to the NV Energy Resilience Corridors Project and the Natural Disaster Protection Plan in areas in Douglas County within and just outside of the Lake Tahoe.
Here is the Carson City area road report provided by the public works department for the week of April 28 through May 4, 2014. Beginning Monday, a project to provide utility and street improvements will begin on Vista Grande Boulevard.

Beginning Monday through Thursday the Carson City I-580 Freeway will have a single lane closure in the northbound direction due to maintenance between Fairview Drive and Carson Street from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. During this time, the speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph.
An emergency alert went out Saturday evening via cell phone and television advising motorists not to travel in Douglas County. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is asking drivers to stay off of the roads in unnecessary and non-emergency situations due to the snow storm.
