The Movement for a Socialist Alternative (MSA) has backed the October 3 nationwide, indefinite strike, saying the President Bola Tinubu’s administration must commit to an increment of the Nigerian workers’ living minimum wage among other sundry demands. The MSA in a release on Friday signed by Aj. Dagga Tolar, the Secretary General, noted that the government must also commit to “the building of new refineries and bringing the whole of the oil and gas sector under public ownership and democratic control and management of workers.”

  Civic group, the Movement for Socialist Alternative (MSA) has expressed its support for the planned two-day nationwide warning strike action by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) over the economic hardship in the country, worsened by the removal of the petrol subsidy by the President Bola Tinubu-led government. This was contained in a release by the MRA spokeswoman, Dagga Tolar, dated September 2, 2023, saying that the planned strike action came at an appropriate time to protest the socio-economic hardship inflicted by the Tinubu government on Nigerians.

Group Urges Nigerian Labour Unions To Mobilise Against Proposed Military Intervention In Niger By Tinubu-Led ECOWAS

A civic group, the Movement for Socialist Alternative (MSA) has called on Nigerian workers and trade unions to commence a massive campaign against the proposed military intervention by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu. In a statement issued by its spokeswoman, Dagga Tolar, the organisation warned that if ECOWAS launches a military strike in Niger Republic, it may spark a war fuelled by world superpowers, similar to what happened between Russia and Ukraine in 2022.
