Logar truck bombing condemned world-wide

1 May 2021 - 18:04 KABUL (Pajhwok): The US, EU, Turkey and Pakistan on Saturday strongly condemned a truck bombing in Pul-i-Alam, the capital of central Logar province. Twenty-six people were killed and over 100 injured in the bombing on a guest house in Pul-i-Alam on Friday evening. In a tweet US Chargé d’Affaires Ross Wilson said: “Horrible to learn about yesterday’s truck bomb attack on a guesthouse in Logar, with high school students and police officers among those murdered. We condemn this & all acts of violence against Afghans. My condolences to the families and friends of the victims.” European Union also condemned the bombing and tweeted: “In the holy month of Ramadan, horrible news on a car bomb in Pul-e-Alam, Logar province, killing and injuring innocent civilians, including students, this evening. This is a tragedy for the whole country and our thoughts go to all affected. This senseless violence must stop.”
