New Bedford Police Arrest Two With Nearly 90 Grams of Fentanyl
NEW BEDFORD New Bedford Police arrested two people and seized nearly 90 grams of fentanyl in a recent arrest.
On April 2, New Bedford Police Narcotics and Gang Detectives seized approximately 88.5 grams of fentanyl, a small amount of cocaine, and $2,578 in cash from a Nissan Altima in the parking lot area of 85 Coggeshall Street.
Two people were arrested as a result: Daejhon Gomes, 23, and Hector Nieves, 27, both of New Bedford. Gomes, the target of the vehicle search, was charged with trafficking fentanyl. Nieves was charged with drug possession. Police say Nieves was arrested last July for trafficking cocaine and fentanyl, with both cases currently pending in district court.
