Prosecutors on Monday indicted three key suspects in the Daejang-dong development scandal on additional charges of corruption involving a separate development project, both allegedly linked to opposition leader Lee Jae-myung.
Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung was indicted without detention on charges of publicizing false information during the last presidential election. Prosecutors saw all of Lee's remarks that the change of use of the site in Seongnam's Baekhyeon-dong was due to threats from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and that he didn't know about the Daejang-dong project during the Seongnam Mayor's days were all false.
