The poll, commissioned by the Florida Chamber of Commerce, found 68% of voters approve of the deal, which would give the Seminole Tribe exclusive rights to oversee sports betting in Florida, both on their own properties and through pari-mutuels operating under their supervision. Meanwhile, just 21% disapprove.
Support was strong across party lines, with 75% of Republicans, 66% of NPAs, and 62% of Democrats supporting the proposed compact with the Seminole Tribe.

Bastien, one of seven residents who submitted qualifying documents for the county commission seat, joins a growing list of candidates that includes the well-respected principal of Northwestern Senior High School, Wallace Aristide, who is already garnering much support from the community.

MIAMI – Marleine Bastien announced on Thursday that she joined the race for Miami-Dade County Commission District 2, which includes parts of Little Haiti, Liberty City, Hialeah, North Miami Beach, and North Miami.
Bastien, a longtime Haitian American activist in Miami, founded a nonprofit organization in 1991. It is now known as the Family Action Network Movement and was formerly known as the FANM-Haitian Women of Miami.
“It is time that we elect leaders who truly stand up for our hardworking families and communities,” Bastien said in a statement.
