A Dadar resident was acquitted by a sessions court after more than 22 years, as the court found that leopard and deer skins might have been planted in his shop by forest department officials. MUMBAI: Before a 21-year-old commerce graduate could end his life, the Mumbai cyber police team at Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) stayed back overnight on the intervening night of February 15 and 16 and tracked him down to his Borivli home and got him counselled.
The youth had planned to end his life and posted the suicide content on his Facebook page as he was severely depressed due to the loss of his parents and the torture he has been undergoing at the hands of his step-mother.
A timely alert sent by a Dadar resident helped the police to save the youth’s live within four hours of the search operation.
