Da Vinci in search of suggested names for tech hub
Last week, the Da Vinci Charter Academy Advisory Board began soliciting suggested names for its upcoming “Tech Hub,” which is scheduled to break ground this summer, be constructed over roughly a year-and-a-half and open in 2022-23.
The completed Tech Hub building will stand at 14,707 square-feet on the blacktop of the Valley Oak Campus in East Davis, which houses Da Vinci along with the district’s Children Center. The $16.4 million project is being funded through Measure M, a local school facilities bond that voters approved by a 74.5 percent margin in 2018, and partly through $9 million in Career Technical Education grants received by the district last year.
