Inside the Core this week, we will give some attention to some of the exciting Core III options available to our students. Core III, Engaging the World, is the third of the three Signature courses required of students at Seton Hall. It is meant to take the Journey questions of Core I, which are deepened through the dialogue of Core II: Christianity and Culture in Dialogue, to the next level, applying them to the world around us and looking at them through the varying disciplines. Eric Johnston Ph.D., Associate Professor in ICSST and Coordinator of Core III, serves on the Signature Course Curriculum Committee and leads the sub-committee that approves courses for Core III status. He is the person who helps faculty navigate the path toward creating the interesting and varied courses that make up the Core III curriculum.
