of these buildings and the whole second floor is completely burnt out. reporter: thank you so much, ty. now, these two folks are one of hundreds that we ve seen lined up here along the side. i don t know if we can bring the camera over here to show you all the people and, of course, everyone is so concerned just watching this thing. we ve seen people lined all up along the highway, too, from other businesses. we re hearing that businesses just across the street see, just across the street is a shopping center and people in those buildings even felt the buildings shake. it was a real hard impact and we re hoping that everyone pulls through. thank you so much, noel newton, live from the scene there. just recapping those were okay. let s do this. we want to talk to cynthia reid, she is on the phone with us. and, cynthia, my understanding is you are actually in a building next door to the building where this where this whole scene, this crash took place, is that correct? yes,
heard, tell me what you saw, please. much like he says. the building shook, it s almost like an earthquake. we our boss very calmly made us leave. we got to the working lot. it was full of smoke. people running towards the irs building that got hit. people were on the second floor. they couldn t get out. they were hanging out the windows screaming for help. uh-huh. i have to say, ben swinger glass happened to be at the complex. they drove through at mach three with perfect ease. got their ladders off in a split second, and they were up there getting them tightened down. people that worked in the complex, they were getting people out as best they could. wait a minute, cynthia, what s the name of the company you just mentioned? and what kind of work? ben swinger glass happened to be on the property. happened to be on the property? happened to be on the property. and they have the ladders that were long enough, and the guys
just went in action. it was fantastic. guys, let s see if we can get someone from that company on the beeper line with us. and, cynthia, so you were in the building next door, but you felt your building shake? yeah. we thought it was an earthquake. we re on the falconi s fault line. it makes sense. and you were able to get out no problem. absolutely no problem. everyone in building four evacuated out the stairs calmly and quickly, and when we got outside is when we saw what was going on and ran to the building to try to help. okay. so, i m going to ask you about helping in just a moment. but will you describe are we talking about an office park here? yes. it s a four-building office complex. it s a four-building office complex. and my understanding is and maybe you can clear this up, because we ve got some initial reporting that always changes on these stories, that there may have been as many as three, maybe four, buildings impacted by this. any truth to that? one
about that, but we re trying to follow these leads and track them down for you, and the one we want to take you to now is another eyewitness to this scene, right after this plane struck. her name is cynthia reid, she joins me by phone. cynthia, where were you when you plane crashed? i was in the third floor of the neighboring building. mig what did you see? well, the building, it shook really bad, and we thought maybe there was a sorry, a gas explosion. obviously, people are calling. so we evacuated immediately, and when we got outside, we saw the smoke, we saw the blast, we heard the chaos, and several of us ran over to that building and people were stuck on the second floor, hanging out the windows, trying to get help to get out of the building, because they couldn t get into the haul ways hallways, they just wanted out. megyn: what did you see
megyn: you re saying a glass company that happened to northbound the coal plex had to truck over with a ladder and they were doing citizen rescues of people who were trapped on the second and third floors? that s them, and some of the building tenants. you saw some amazing people today. mig that is incredible. that is nothing short of an act of heroism in the face of this blaze, which shot up several, dozens of feet high that we ve been watching, the black smoke and fire which has just now gotten under control. cynthia, i want to hear more from you when this with this incredible eyewitness account. if you can stand by because we have a reporter at the house of the pilot. we asked him a couple of times to go on a ride with him but that neighbor said he was afraid of small airplanes, and so he never went with him, but so he tells us that he is a pilot, that he owns his own airplane, again, firefighters not telling us much out here, but we spoke to neighbors who said that about 9:
