Mr. Montejano, it is an honor to have it for our key speaker. He is professor of ethnic studies at uc berkeley he has also chair the center for research on social change. Prior to teaching at berkeley, was an associate professor at the university of test in austin. His major areas of research have been comparative history, race and relations. He has published widely in journals and books. His books on the Chicano Movement include a local history of the Chicano Movement, which also won numerous awards. That book was followed by another book called ponchos journal. Both of these books were published by the university of texas press. He has received numerous distinguished fellowships, including a
