Peters to work alongside angela chan that impact the community as a whole. Tenant rights, youth rights, especially undocumented immigrant rights. And i have seen nothing but the utmost dedication to get the job done, to do the work in the way that really brings communities together across racial divisions and lines and work, Service Providers and organizers. She has really been fantastic in her work in the Police Commission as well as the San Francisco immigrant Rights Committee as well as asian law caucus. I know that there are a number of people that are here in honor of dido. I have known him from even before my time in the board of supervisors. The first time i met him, i was on the San Francisco police commission. He brought to me a case involving a family, an immigrant family that had been defrauded in terms of, they were taking advantage of when they purchased their home and their home was basically taken over by the banks and dido alerted us to that issue and because of that work eventually an individual that had defrauded dozens of people in the Latino Community was eventually charged and put away because of that. Thats the kind of person that dido is. Its hard to imagine the Commission Economic Development Agency where dido has worked so long doing its work without dido. I know hes not goin

Today i want to honor someone who on my behalf and also on behalf of president chiu and i imagine will be on behalf of the whole board, someone who has been a terrific leader in the city. That is champsey. I think i assume everyone has worked with in his capacity in 10 years at walk sf. She has done an amazing job over the years and elevating the organization, elevating the critical issue in our Pedestrian Safety in our city. She has been a long time volunteer and board member. I believe when there was a gap in executive director, she stepped in and ran the organization as a volunteer. And, you know, we know that Pedestrian Safety is in incredibly important in or city but its an issue that for a long time got a lot of lip service in the city. A lot of city talked about it a lot but not a lot was happening. She really played such a Critical Role in really helping transform walk sf to Incredible O
