Bianca Virnig, a school board member for the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan district, won a four-way DFL primary for a Minnesota House seat. The general election is in December.
Virnig, a member of the Rosemount-Apple Valley Eagan School Board, will go on to face Mendota Heights Republican Cynthia Lonnquist and Eagan Libertarian Charles Kuchlenz in the general election.
A special election will be held on Dec. 5 to ensure Richardson's replacement will be seated before the House convenes for the legislative session in 2024.
