the state highway administration has completely closed as bill is showing you there, three lanes of the outer loop of 695, on the southwest side. only one lane is getting by at this time. they have also closed one lane of southbound i-95, as the overpass that goes over top of 695 for state highway officials to continue work on the bridge and the sign. now, they are in the process of repairing the sign. we do know that bridge inspectors are on the scene, looking at the girder. they have deemed it safe for travel. we have highway traffic running over it at this time. southbound 95, but day tuned throughout the afternoon and evening drive time. it s causing a mess of delays. and our traffic reporter will keep you updated. complete coverage continues with kristy breslin with with more on these backups. well, as captain mike had told you, the three right lanes are blocked. the delay right now is back to wilkens avenue. it s definitely going to stretch. right now, you re lookin

continues. it is a long line of traffic backups on 695. problems on 95 as well. meanwhile, that bridge inspection is going to continue into the night. a lot of these cars finally getting through some of this traffic now. that inspection continues into the night. the driver of that truck, likely going to be facing charges when this is all over. derek valcourt, wjz eyewitness news. derek, thank you. our complete coverage continues now with wjz traffic control. kristy breslin as a closer look at those backups. we saw all of those lights stretching for a long way, kristy. unfortunately, yes, mary. and that s already a difficult spot on the outer loop of the beltway, at the 95 southbound overpass. the two right-hand lanes are blocked. the delay, as you can see, stretches back to almost 795. if you re going in that direction, you can expect at least 30 minutes to get through the delay. now, as far as the other side, it s also impacting traffic on the inner loop. things are slow
