NEWBURYPORT — Roughly two months after unveiling “Pictures with Purpose: 19th Century Studio Photograph Empowered Black Americans” at the Inn Street pedestrian mall, officials will reconvene there on Feb. 27
The “Grant Us Our Liberty” sign, located in Brown Square near a statue of the city’s most famous abolitionist, William Lloyd Garrison, will be celebrated during a 3 p.m. public ceremony organized by the Newburyport Black History Initiative.
