One was a woman driving across the intersection as we mentioned she was hit by both suspects as she was driving in her car taken to the hospital. Were told she was pronounced dead around 8 00 oclock tonight. The suspects were taken into custody with minor injuries. Police also say they found a 9millimeter gun in that us in suspects car. Hospital an hour later. We have a protocol and pursuits are very difficult because its a tough situation about when to make that call. When to terminate it. Reporter commissioner ross says the chase was the result of a gun battle between some guys in the maxima and a white car at 48th and west minster. Police heard the gunfire and actually saw a man jump into the passenger sight side of the maxima. They chased it for obviously several blocks before ultimately that vehicle crashed into our victim which is absolutely horrible thing. Reporter police are investigating to make sure proper protocol was in fact followed. We want to listen to police radio tapes which obviously will be pulled to see whether or not there was talk of conditions, speed and things like that.
