Today, MG is known for building practical vehicles such as sedans and crossovers.
But earlier in its life, specifically in the 50s and 60s, the British marque was famed for its open-top sports cars. Two of their most popular models were the MGA and the MGB, which were both available as droptops. However, after the MG F/MG TF was discontinued in the late 2000s, the brand no longer has a roadster on offer.
Thankfully, a production model MG roadster might return in the future. The brand recently revealed pictures of the new MG Cyberster Concept. Styled by SAIC Design Advanced London, the open-top EV blends past and present elements together. It features a traditional roadster design with a long hood and a small cabin ahead of the rear axle. There are also retro touches with the large round headlights and an illuminated body line along the side.
