A PLANNING application has been submitted for 60 new homes in Brynamman. Wight, Searles and Dudlyke have lodged an outline planning application with Carmarthenshire Council for a new housing development on land off Cwmgarw Road, which it says will bring much-needed affordable housing to the area. The site lies within the development limits of Brynamman and has been allocated for residential development. A design and access statement within the plans states: “The site itself is allocated within the LDP for a scheme of residential development and therefore the principle of the development of the site is considered to be acceptable. It continues: “The proposed development aims to make the most efficient use of the site, whilst creating a high-quality living environment and also ensuring that the site is sympathetically redeveloped in the context of its location on the edge of the existing built form of Brynamman.”
