In a statement Monday, Customs Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz reported that the bureau has an accumulated earnings of PHP78.9 billion in August. Based on a preliminary report from Financial Service, the BOC collected PHP20 billion, or 34.1 percent more than its target collection of PHP58.8 billion for the month.
