WideOpenWest internet, cable and phone services customers throughout southeastern Michigan are expressing their frustrations online about internet interruptions that have been taking place since Wednesday. The service has been brutal for a week, said Customer Mike Turko in a tweet Monday to the company, also known as WOW.
WOW service is reaching out to customers in metro Detroit about the internet outages they may be experiencing, according to an email to customers. A one-time $5 credit will be added to affected customers upcoming bill to make up for the inconvenience.
This degree of disruption is unusual. More than 230 reports have been submitted since 6 a.m. Monday, according to Downdetector.
