Temperatures will be on the rise through the weekend and next week, with some record highs possible before the next bout of more typical winter weather.
The record breaking, historic cold has moved out with most of the state staying mild if not warm with very dry conditions through the rest of January into February.
Arctic air is moving out, being replaced by warmer Pacific air but this comes at a cost with the threat of freezing drizzle and freezing rain making for very slippery conditions.
