Whatever, whether thats right to say or not, has brought me to, it was such a blessing because now i really understand, i couldnt understand if i hadnt had that background and not only was i poor as a little girl, and i was then my husband, we went broke, my husband is an entrepreneur, as i said, and we went broke, so i was also broke with my children in my adult life but you know, with he came back. No, we dont have the race thing and my husband had a mentor, mr. Kaufman, who owned the Kansas City Royals at one time, who helped us take our 401 k and start my little 5 million business which sounds like a lot but it wasnt the the time but it made little alcohol sips and freps and we started from there, seven of our children worked for us and we were kind of a Family Business and the rest is history. But anyway, my point is, we want to give money. We want to give back but were giving it to the wrong when i met bob i was just, i was like its got to be organic, like one of you gentlemen sa
All of the women, shes going back just pulled over the side of the road and asked gore to speak to her about what she was doing. To make herself. I remember her taking homeless men and women into home in gaithersburg which did not please the neighbors. And so then she moved into the neighborhood where there was a problem with a rundown house to i let her pick it up from there to talk about what she does house of help and the city of hope. Thank you, bob. Good afternoon, good morning, everybody. Ive been working really hard. House of help city of hope as a nonprofit faithbased organization that helps residents and also helps its volunteers. And just recently we had to downsize. We need to give people the opportunity to earn a Second Chance in this country. Luckily, my colleagues have done a lot of good work on this front. Senator mike lee, congressman Raul Labrador and bobby scott introduced a very good piece of reform of the sentencing guidelines, would give the jumps more discretion with lowrisk, nonviolent offenses. They dont have to give the maybes sentence everytime. Theres no reason to lock anyone up longer than necessary and we also have to tackle this recidivism. Thats why congressman jason and bobby scott introduced the Public Safety enhancement act. As long as they complete a program with a proven track record. Heres the point. Nonv
