(CNN) After the record season of hurricanes Last year, meteorologists are expecting another hyperactive season in 2021.
Colorado State University (CSU) published its forecast for the Atlantic hurricane season of 2021 on Thursday and predicts that this year there will again be an above-average season.
The CSU forecasts there will be 17 named storms, eight hurricanes, and four major hurricanes (Category 3 or greater). All of those numbers are above the average for a typical season of 12 named storms, six hurricanes, and three powerful hurricanes.
However, the averages are in the process of updating, according to Ken Graham, director of the National Hurricane Center (NHC).

President Biden affirmed that Covid-19 vaccines will be widely available to the general public by the end of July during the first town hall of his presidency. By the end of July we ll have over 600 million doses, enough to vaccinate every single American, Biden told CNN s Anderson Cooper.
Biden noted that there were only 50 million doses available when he assumed office. Biden said that he implemented the Defense Production Act to get the manufacturing piece of it to get more equipment.
The House impeachment managers plan to conclude their case against former President Trump on Thursday by zeroing in on Trump’s lack of remorse following the deadly attack and going further into the role he played, according to senior aides on the impeachment team.
Senators take notes and doodle as House impeachment managers present their case

While the House impeachment managers make their presentation, most senators were paying attention, either taking notes or listening politely. Some didn t seem to be too interested in the proceedings.
Sen. Rand Paul, who is not wearing a mask, was doodling squiggly lines on a white pad of paper. Next to him, his friend, Utah Sen. Mike Lee, was taking extensive notes, writing furiously as Democrats were making their arguments.
Everyone is wearing a mask, other than Paul. Sen. Cynthia Lummis pulled her mask down for an extended period of time as well.
House impeachment managers are showing new Capitol security footage in their presentation today to demonstrate the extent of the violence that occurred on Jan. 6 and the threat the rioters posed to everyone in the Capitol.
