The crunch of shattering ice reverberated through frigid air Sunday morning as my son Tom and I bashed our paddles and kayaks repeatedly against a frozen Connecticut River in Old Saybrook.
they felt like the only way they were going to survive this shooting was to get away from the school. and so all of them made a run for it together as a group. they ran toward it is back of the school. there s apparently a canal behind the school and they wedged themselves between the school and a chain link fence and ran for safety. so we re hearing, as the hours go on and as the days go on we ll hear more and more tales of how these students survived. 17 dead but a lot of people that ran for safety and undoubtedly there could have been a higher death toll. lawrence. tammy, thank you. appreciate the report. we re joined by jim cavanaugh, a retired atf special agent. also joining us is igor vul ski and curt andersen. jim, i want to go to you.
