The person who lives here was a firefighter, he was out with his crew last night trying to make sure other people were safe. His wife and kids were on the inside in the basement trying to make sure they could ride out the storm. The kitchen actually collapsed as my photographer jake follows he here. But when you start to talk to people nearby, they talk about stories of just trying to survive, and now i want to show you from above what this actually looks like. You can see where im standing. Im standing in the middle of this apartment and you see the damage here, the roof is gone, and then when you look at this entire complex. These people have really been impacted. We heard people say they felt this in their bodies, they could feel the pressure of the storm as it moved through, and you look at how this neighborhood has been decimated from thousands to house to house, a pan m a man down the street ws a firefighter, the family across the street hid in a basement. As they hid in the basement, the house collapsed on top of how they get in and out. They were trapped for about 30 minutes. Listen to this woman talk about the fear of trying to survive this storm.
