The Current River Callers, in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Conservation and the National Wild Turkey Federation invites teens ages 13 to 17 to an Extreme Jake’s Shooting Event.
A Summersville High School senior was presented with a $500 scholarship during a Jan. 20 banquet of the Current River Callers chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation.
Winona, Mo. - The Current River Callers chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation will be sponsoring the annual Hunting Heritage Banquet on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Winona R-III Multipurpose building in Winona, Missouri. The doors will open at 5:00 pm with the dinner starting at 6:00 pm. Tickets for the regular NWTF membership or sponsor's membership, can be purchased from any Current River Callers committee member or purchased at the door. Tickets for this year's Gun-of-The-Year, a Franchi shotgun, can also be purchased from committee members before the banquet for $20.00 per ticket or three for $50.00 with a limit of 150 tickets to be sold. To get the kids involved in hunting and enjoying outdoor activities, the local chapter will provide free membership in the Jakes or Extreme Jakes for children and youth 17 and under with the purchase of a meal ticket.
