general and current belmont law school dean alberto gonzalez. thank you for being with us. a will the of legal issues and former prosecutor myself, i find it really disturbing at a profound level that there has just been such disrespect for the law, for the procedures that have been set in place, so much so you have got both sides crying foul. well, clearly the president did not comply with this 30-days in the requirement. and i think members of congress should be outraged quite frankly without a clear explanation from the administration as to the reasons why. you know, but there is a legitimate question from my perspective as to whether or not 30 days in the requirement is constitutional. why is that? as applied to the commander and chief. because, here you have got a commander and chief who has it to deal with one of his soldiers who has been captured. and i think the argument from the white house is going to be that any kind of restriction that limits his ability to negotiate
