Of St. Paul, MN passed away peacefully on July 16, 2022. He is survived by his wife Arlene; stepdaughters, Havi Goodman of Baltimore, MD, Barbara Goodman of Chicago, IL; beloved and only grandchild, Ravi Goodman, of Chicago; and sister, Mary Margaret Alm and her husband, Darrell Scott Russell of Asheville, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Gilman Alm and Mary (May) Curran Alm and brother, Michael. Tom died after a valiant struggle with blood cancer, missing his long-anticipated 80th birthday by only a few weeks. Born on August 6, 1942 in Fargo, ND, Tom graduated from North Dakota State University and entered the U.S. Army as a Second Lieutenant. After two years of active service, including a year in Vietnam, he moved to St. Paul, working for and retiring from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
