Prayagraj: Ahead of high school and intermediate examination of UP Board, instructions have been given for continuous live monitoring of exam centres .
Schools that are negligent in correcting the errors in the details of candidates appearing in the 2024 UP Board high school and intermediate examination set to start this month will not be made centres for the 2025 board exams. The board has asked all schools to provide correct credentials of the students in respect to name, parents’ name, date of birth, gender, caste, photo and subjects. Notices have also been sent from all five regional offices (Prayagraj, Bareilly, Meerut, Varanasi and Gorakhpur) to over 100 such schools across the state. If satisfactory answers are not received, the schools will not be made centres for the 2025 board examination. The board has already given four chances to the schools to rectify errors, the last time on January 20. Schools were instructed to send cases of error correction to the regional offices concerned. UP Board will introduce computerised identity cards with unique QR codes and serial numbers for invigilators in order to ensure fair exams. Around 2.75 lakh invigilators will receive these identity cards, which will prevent replication and impersonation. The cards will also display the teaching subject of the invigilator, allowing for substitution by other teachers to prevent cheating. The exams will take place from February 22 to March 9, with a total of 17 days of exams in two shifts. Over 55 lakh students are registered to appear for the exams.
