I have fought for human rights he nearly my entire life, said. Mr. Lewis was a valiant stalwart of the Civil Rights Movement. Later,an a halfcentury after the killing in may of george floyd, mr. Lewis welcomed the resulting demonstrations against Police Killing of black people and more broadly against systematic racism in all corners of society.
