Hospital trust in south Cumbria to review clinical policy | The Westmorland Gazette

THE NHS in South Cumbria and Lancashire is working in partnership to review and develop clinical policies across the region. The eight Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in the region have all agreed that there is a need to develop their policies collaboratively to ensure a consistent and fair approach for everyone across the region. All policies will be created following national guidelines and best clinical practice to make sure that the limited resources available are being used to maximum effect for the local population. As part of this process, a draft of the sensory integration therapy policy is now open for patient and public engagement, feedback, and comments. This policy concerns direct, one-to-one clinic-based therapy for children and adults who have been assessed to have a degree of sensory dysfunction.
