One beauty salon is offering free waxing to all women who attend their cervical screening – after it was revealed that many were postponing their appointments due to not being professionally waxed during lockdown. According to healthcare app myGP, 57 per cent of women – almost three in five – who regularly use professional waxing services are not attending their cervical screening, due to the embarrassment of not being “neatened” with a wax during the third national lockdown. And after hearing the news, the team at Whitehaven s Bella Vita Health and Beauty have decided to offer all women who attend their smear a free wax when the salon is able to re-open.
