CUMBERLAND – A technical error on the May 12 Zoning Board agenda led the matter to be postponed by a month, meaning David Dugre and Paromita Ghosh will be back seeking permission to keep their backyard chickens on June 9.
Plenty of people showed up to the virtual meeting and what was expected to be a lengthy discussion, but Zoning Board member Bob Chaput noticed a typo in the agenda stating that the Cumberland Hill couple was looking for dimensional variance from a rear-yard setback requirement instead of required side-yard setbacks.
Essentially they re looking for permission to own a chicken coop despite being short of the required amount of property by 14 feet from side to side.
