I m not a first responder or emergency personnel of any kind, but it s not hard to imagine that the last thing first responders need to deal with while trying to handle an emergency is trying to guess whether or not accommodations need to be made in an effort to get someone to safety.
Of course, what needs to be done must get done, however, it would probably save a lot of valuable time if police and first responders were aware of any kind of special situation before they arrived. Cue the new special needs registry currently being assembled in Cumberland County, NJ. Honestly, something of this nature is, most likely, well overdue.
