Los Angeles World Airports rejected an initiative by the North Westwood Neighborhood Council to restore the FlyAway bus service in Westwood. The NWWNC passed a community impact statement April 3 requesting the LA Board of Airport Commissioners and City Council to conduct a study and reestablish the FlyAway bus service from Westwood to LAX.
The City of Culver City is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for a Comprehensive Mobility Services Plan. The Project will evaluate Culver CityBus’ existing transit services and public transportation market in the post-COVID environment through data collection, surveys, and stakeholder and community outreach. It will identify gaps in public transportation and alternative transportation markets through a connectivity study and provide recommendations to improve first/last mile and regional transportation connections in a redefined CCB service area. Building off these analyses and previous planning efforts, the Project will identify clear visions and goals to guide the system and mobility service scenarios. The Project will then analyze, evaluate, and recommend innovative and sustainable mobility services that suit the project area’s needs and complement the existing transit services.
