Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri KUALA LUMPUR: The Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry will roll out several short term initiatives to boost the domestic tourism industry, says Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri. She told Parliament on Thursday (Dec 10) that the initiatives that would be introduced by her ministry following the relaxation of restrictions on interstate and interdistrict travel would include e-vouchers and rebates. Nancy said the rakyat will receive various incentives and promotions in the form of vouchers, rebates, e-vouchers, cashback in e-wallets and discounts for bookings for tourism packages, accommodation and transport. In other words, the government will give financial assistance or pay a certain portion of the spending for the rakyat to travel domestically, she told Wan Hassan Mohd Ramli (PAS-Dungun) during Minister s Question Time on Thursday (Dec 10).
