GATINEAU, QC, May 13, 2021 /CNW Telbec/ - Library and Archives Canada (LAC) will provide $1.5 million to support 41 projects (including 26 new projects) by archives, libraries and documentary heritage institutions throughout Canada. Ten projects submitted by organizations from British-Columbia will be funded under the Documenary Heritage Communities Program (DHCP).
The following projects will be funded by the DHCP in British Columbia in 2021–2022:

New Mandala and the Southeast Asia Institute at ANU are pleased to present this seminar by Professor Adrian Vickers, who is a Visitor in the School of Culture History and Language.
As a historian researching modern Southeast Asian art, the field has presented me with three key problem areas: first, how to track art history as the history of styles deriving from influences; secondly, the history of modernism and its relationship to modernity; thirdly, the question of whether there is art that links Southeast Asia as a region. In addressing these problems, we are faced with a series of missing evidence and disjunctions that is indicative of the newness of the field. Some of these disjunctions are also related to significant historical breaks in the histories of different parts of the region.
