The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) Global Geopark has recognised Kinabalu Geopark in Sabah as Malaysia’s 2nd Global Geopark on Thursday.
RANAU: SK Kundasang has become the first Kinabalu Geopark adopted school selected for the assessment of Kinabalu Geopark as a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) Global Geopark site.
KOTA BELUD: Community acceptance and cooperation on the Kinabalu Geopark initiative, which covers the three districts of Ranau, Kota Belud and Kota Marudu, are important criteria in the assessment before its status can be ratified as a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) Global Geopark.
