The Sugar Land Arts and Cultural Foundation launched a virtual teen talent competition aimed at showcasing musical talent in Sugar Land earlier this year, and recently named the first of what will be six finalists to perform in the competitionâs finale in June.
Sugar Land’s Cultural Arts Foundation Youth board opened the “Student Spotlights of the Month” competition in March to high school students who attend Sugar Land area schools. Interested students submit a three-minute video online at slacf.org showcasing their talents, where a panel of judges from the SLCAF board select two winners from the entries for March, April and May to advance to the final round and a chance at $450 in June.
