When British forces attacked Virginia Patriots at the Battle of Great Bridge on Dec. 9, 1775, most of the British soldiers were equipped with the British army’s muzzle-loading, Land Pattern, a smooth bore flintlock musket fixed with an intimidating 17-inch triangular bladed bayonet.
By now, word has gotten out about a 12-year-old boy in a Colorado school getting in trouble, temporarily, because of a small patch seen on his backpack. That boy is Jaiden Rodriguez, and he attends a charter school in Colorado Springs—Vanguard Secondary School.
